The use of marijuana for medical purposes is officially legal in Croatia as of Thursday. This will help patients, suffering from such diseases, like multiple sclerosis, cancer or AIDS.

The use of marijuana for medical purposes has been legalized in Croatia

Croatian media takes notice, that no drugs have yet been registered in this country, containing THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) – which is the main psychoactive substance, contained in cannabis.

Croatian Ministry of Health warns, that growing cannabis remains illegal, and that THC medications will only be available with a doctor's prescription.
