Philips introduced eye-safe monitors

New series of Philips monitors, which debuted at the Berlin IFA exhibition 2015 designed for home and office use. Used in it, SoftBlue technology protecting the user's vision. It eliminates blue light that is harmful to the eyes, and at the same time maintains the quality and intensity of the color.

Unlike other similar solutions, SoftBlue is not based on any filters applied to the display. She is eliminates blue light emission at zero, at a potentially harmful wavelength, moving it with 450 to 460 nm. This will limit the damage to the eyes from wave emissions on 90% compared to traditional monitors.

Recent studies report, that blue light, emitted by LED displays can impair our vision. Spending more and more time in front of the monitor, we endanger our vision by the radiation of these harmful waves ,- says Thomas Schade, Vice President MMD Europe, company, engaged in global sales of Philips monitors. –Taking care of users' health, we decided to create a new SoftBlue line, intended for people, spending long hours in front of the monitor. Our goal was to do this, so that all models simultaneously feature high image quality and vibrant colors – Shade added.

All monitors in the series use IPS matrices and the viewing angle is 178? both horizontally, and vertically and Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and speakers.

In the home series we will find models with diagonal 21,5, 23,6 and 27 inches. Business model series size 21,5 inch 23,8 inch. In addition to SoftBlue technology, flicker has also been eliminated, Philips Flicker-Free solutions.
