To begin with, it is worth noting, that as part of the upcoming Computex exhibition 2019 There will only be an announcement of new AMD processors, and not all of them. reported, that a 12-core chip will probably be presented there, but AMD may postpone the announcement of the 16-core flagship model. Regarding the start date of sales of new chips, there is also no exact information on this yet. But about the price it is reported, that previous leaks on this matter were close to the truth. That is, the price of the flagship will be about $500, and a 12-core chip will cost about $450.
Also reported, that motherboards based on the X570 chipset may not appear simultaneously with new processors, and a little later in July, since the chipset itself is still “a little unready”. According to the source, the final chipset configuration is still undetermined despite, that manufacturers have already prepared motherboards based on it. It is also reported, that motherboard manufacturers can't finish their products, since AMD does not provide final or close versions of new processors, and they only have engineering samples at their disposal.
Regarding performance, then according to the source, in the popular benchmark Cinebench R15, an engineering sample of a 16-core Ryzen 3000, working with frequency 4,2 GHz, was able to dial 4278 scores in multi-core test. And this is a very high result! for comparison, Core i9-9900K scores in the same test in the order of magnitude 2000 points, and comparable 4300 submitted only to the 24-core Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX, if we consider only desktop chips.
Here I would like to note, that this is only an engineering sample, and the final version of the 16-core Ryzen 3000 should get higher frequencies, and, accordingly, will be able to demonstrate an even higher level of performance in tasks, capable of using many cores simultaneously. And as a more universal solution, which should have as many cores, and high performance per core, 12-core Ryzen should perform 3000, which is credited with the maximum Turbo frequency in 5,0 GHz.
