Cult shooter PowerSlave will receive a full re-release from Nightdive

Throwback Entertainment announced on its official microblog, that together with Nightdive Studios he is working on an improved version of the shooter PowerSlave (Exhumed in Europe) sample 1996 of the year.

Modernized PowerSlave targets PC (digital services not specified) and unnamed consoles. The release date of the upcoming reissue is also extremely vague - "future".

At the request of PC Gamer, a representative from Nightdive Studios confirmed, that the modernized PowerSlave will receive the KEX Engine, used in all similar remasters by the studio.

Nightdive Studios also spoke out, that one updated PowerSlave is not limited to: “This is not the only project, which we are working on with Throwback, but only about him are ready to talk now ".

The original PowerSlave was developed by Lobotomy Software and told the story of an operative, arriving in the ancient Egyptian city of Karnak to fight alien forces.

PowerSlave offers a first-person view, more 20 levels "Non-stop" gameplay, variety of locations, eight types of weapons (including the magic cobra staff) and dynamic lighting.

Throwback Entertainment's announcement coincides with the release of the GOG version of PowerSlave. At the time of publication of the material, the game is sold in the service with an 8% discount and costs 239 rubles.
