Google Chrome will use less memory in Windows 10

Google has spent years doing, to reduce RAM consumption by Chrome browser. Finally, the developers have solved this problem. – Google engineer recently announced, that the next version of Chrome will use the Microsoft Edge method, which will reduce RAM usage and theoretically improve performance.

Chrome will switch to memory management called Segment Heap, which, according to Microsoft experience, will reduce memory usage by 27%.

Chrome improvements can be very different depending on the system, but tests showed, that sometimes it can save "hundreds of MB" in browser and system processes. "Multi-core" systems, probably, get the most benefit, said the engineer.

When will the technology be implemented in the stable version of Google Chrome?, unknown.
