The name "electric lock" does not fully reflect the essence of the device. More correct term "electromechanical" – locks of this type combine mechanics, that is, the capabilities and functions of standard door locks, with electric drive and possibility of remote opening (some models also have closures) with such devices, like a remote control, smartphone, fingerprint reader or transponder. Methods for opening electric locks for an entrance door
One of the main advantages of electromechanical locks is that, that thanks to them you can unlock the door without using a key. In the online store of the "Engineering Systems" company you can choose electric locks that open with:
- transponder;
- fingerprint reader;
- code keyboard;
- smartphone.
Does it mean that, that a regular key is completely unnecessary? Not certainly in that way. Open with remote control, smartphone or fingerprint scanner is very convenient, so the standard keyboard, probably, will be used very rarely. However, the ability to open the lock using a traditional key is still necessary in case, eg, power failure.
Installation of electric lock receivers
