ADATA XPG SX7000 – budget SSD drives under M. 2 PCIe

The new series should be of interest demanding customers with a small budget – a good alternative for XPG SX8000 models.

ADATA XPG SX7000 - budget SSD drives under M. 2 PCIe

ADATA continues to release new SSDs. Recently we wrote about the economic models under the SATA Ultimate SU700 6 Gb/s, and now the manufacturer introduced the model XPG SX7000 under M. 2 32 Gbit / s - just for the players, enthusiasts and professionals on a budget.

The new series includes four capacitive version: 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB i 1 TB - all Type M. 2 2280 under the PCI-Express 3.0 x4 (with support for NVM Express protocol 1.2). The manufacturer has applied the company Silicon Motion Controller, as well as memory 3D TLC NAND, and it all adds buffer, working on the principle of SLC NAND memory and DRAM traditional memory.

On what kind of performance you can expect? In the tests the speed reaches 1800 MB / s when reading and 860 MB / s when recording data, and the number of input-output operations per second comes to 130 000 IOPS when reading and 140 000 IOPS at records. costs, but, Mark, that the performance in real applications will be weaker (especially in the less capacious versions).

An additional advantage is the 5-year warranty from the manufacturer, which was limited to a coefficient TBW - depending on the version of 80 – 320 TB. Коэффициент безотказной работы оценивается в 2 million hours.
