The latest version of Surveillance Station, in addition to the obvious improvements, includes a number of innovations, about which below.
Real Time Publish Subscribe (RTPS) – the protocol will increase the efficiency of streaming video transmission, while taking care of watching channels with Surveillance Station or DS Cam on iOS devices. Developers will also be able to use RTPS support, to integrate video streams with third party systems.
Multicast support in the new version of Surveillance Station will reduce bandwidth consumption while running the application in the environment, where many customers watch video channels. In other words, this will allow you to monitor live from multiple cameras without affecting system performance. Besides, modify alerts to display them for cameras as well, which are not subject to preview and display them on an electronic map. So you can quickly check the camera and the whereabouts of suspects.
The database structure has also changed in the new version of Surveillance Station, which, together with the addition of a special structured connection between the host and servers, will increase the write speed, as well as transferring information about specific events from servers. Improvements have also been made to the stability of the CMS deployment, thanks to the reorganization of license management.
In addition to integration with the native application, designed for recording on a flash card in specific camera models, with the ONVIF Profile G update, flash recording for more cameras will become possible. Besides, implemented in ONVIF Profile S improvements to search and add supported cameras for systems “ONVIF ”.
