AMD introduced the potential Polaris video 10 – what has been learned?

During the conference was presented the potential of the video card in the game Hitman – she allowed to play comfortably in the resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels.

AMD Polaris architecture

AMD introduced several new products at the recent conference - we have already written about the video card Radeon Pro Duo and subsequent architectures GPUs. But this is not the end, so the manufacturer has the opportunity to evaluate the potential and the generation of graphics cards Polaris.

To be precise, we are talking about the model code-named Polaris 10 - true, about it yet, little is known, but still – something that was able to see and find out…

For the presentation of the video card potential, Hitman game has been used, running in DirectX mode 12 – Polaris 10 allowed to get it smooth animation at 60 frames per second at a resolution 2560 x 1440 pixels. The only pity, that the conference did not say anything about the graphics quality settings, it would give a better idea about the performance of the accelerator (eg, for maximum settings, you need the type of graphics card Radeon R9 390X).

Noteworthy also use the platform for the presentation of Polaris 10 - chassis manufacturer used Cooler Master Elite 110, which confirms, The new card is perfect when building a mini-computer (it can accommodate a length of the video card 210 mm). The more observant can see motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 skylake processors under the Intel and PSU SilverStone Strider SFX power 600 VT.

The card itself takes up two slots and is equipped with five video outputs: DVI-D, HDMI 2.0 and three DisplayPort 1.3. To combine cards in CrossFire mode does not need to use the jumper.

That's all that we have learned. More information will appear in the middle of the year, since it is then planned to premiere the first models.
