Poland will launch its rocket into space after 10 summer break

NSMJelczoburn6968It has 4 meters in height, weighs 200 kg and flies at altitude 100 км – речь идет о ракете “Янтарь”, which Polish engineers are working on.

Ракета ILR-33 “Янтарь” является флагманским проектом, implemented through the Polish Space Technology Center of the Aviation Institute. The rocket has a height 4 m, diameter approx. 230 mm and initial weight approx. 200 kg.
As Professor Piotr Volansky from the Institute of Aviation promises, In the near future, all rocket systems will be checked during flight at an altitude of up to 10 km.

100 km. we want to test it under simpler conditions, where once again you can look at everything well and analyze it, – объясняет профессор.

First tests

The rocket is not ready yet.

– То, what do we see, this is a one to one layout. Designed primarily for wind tunnel research. We have one more stage ahead of us before achieving our goal., that is, the first shot was fired at a height of more 10 km, – объясняет Евгений Марциняк из Авиационного Института.

An attempt to deliver a rocket to an altitude of more than 100 km will take place in 2016 year.

100 km will be carried out after tests,

If the tests are successful, then Polish rockets will appear in outer space again after several decades of inactivity.
