Membrane, mechanical, hybrid – which keyboard is best for gamer?

Every computer gamer knows, without a good keyboard. For the choice to be, but, right, he should be, first of all, know which is better. In stores you will find many different models, representing different types - mechanical, membrane, hybrid… Which one will be better for the player?

Answer: any. Each of them can be the best - it all depends on individual needs., but we decided to help you, making a characterization of individual types of keyboards.

mechanical keyboard

This is a classic - mechanical keyboards appeared on store shelves already in 70. 20th century. Despite the old it would seem, technology, this type is still in high demand, Firstly, thanks to its precision.

How it works? Each button is located on a separate switch, in which the working element is a steel spring. Different "communicators" have different parameters, which leads to the need to use different forces to activate the button and receive different feedback information. Players are most likely to choose linear switches (eg, Cherry MX Red or Black), unlike people, more typing in front of the computer, which bet on "communicators" with progressive activation power (eg, Cherry MX Blue).

Mechanical keyboards are highly durable (about 50 million clicks), mid-stroke activation, quick return to starting position, characteristic knock and - unfortunately - mostly at a fairly high price.

Membrane keyboard

Membrane keyboards are the most common today.. They are a little slower, from "mechanical" sisters and less durable (OK. 20 million clicks), but, definitely cheaper, and are characterized by much quieter operation.

This type of construction, basically, also provides low key travel. Good quality membrane keyboard is best for lovers of evening games (quiet operation), for games where perfect timing is not required.

hybrid keyboard

There is also a compromise in the form of a hybrid keyboard.. It combines the speed of "mechanics" with the silent operation of "membrams".

How does it work? In their hybrid keyboards, Cooler Master, switches are used, spring-loaded and capacitive electricity sensors. By pressing the key, the second registers a click already in the middle of the distance, which greatly increases the sensitivity and speed of the keyboard.

The hybrid keyboard is the most versatile, while maintaining high performance. However, it has a rather high price.
