Intel Core i7-9700K and Core i9-9900K - we know the characteristics of the 8-core Coffee Lake processors

The new models are characterized by a large number of cores, and thus operate at a higher frequency. Interesting, and how it will affect prices?

That Intel prepares for release 8-core processors Coffee Lake has been known for a long time. For a long time remained unknown to their characteristics.

Two new processors will appear in the manufacturer’s assortment - an 8-core / 8-thread Core i7-9700K and an 8-core / 16-thread Core i9-9900K. Both will have an unlocked multiplier., so users will be able to disperse them (as well, as a 6-core model Core i5-9600K).

9700K operates at a frequency 3,6 GHz, but in Turbo Boost mode at a frequency of up to 4,9 GHz (Startup of all eight cores maximum is 4,6 GHz). More attractive options offers a model 9900K - base frequency is 3,6 GHz, and in Turbo Boost mode, it grows up 5,0 GHz (4,7 GHz when loading all eight cores).

Despite the increase in the number of nuclei, both processors are characterized by a coefficient TDP at 95 W. It is also worth emphasizing, that both models are compatible with motherboards equipped with sockets LGA 1151 and series chipsets 300.
