Presented motherboards have been designed for use in business, but the manufacturer also plans to release a consumer models.
Embedded World 2018 – this is one of the most important exhibitions, dedicated to industrial electronics. The event also got company ASRock, which introduced new motherboards with chipsets Q370, H370 and H310.
At the beginning it is worth noting, provided that the board designed for the assembly of industrial computers, therefore their functionality is different with respect to the consumer version (not to mention the design).
At the booth ASRock you could see three new models: IMB-1211 and IMB-1213 format mini-ITX and IMB-1311 form mATX. On board was stand LGA 1151, memory banks DIMM / SO-DIMM DDR4, and PCI / PCI-Express slots. For storage allocated SATA connectors, mini-pci express и M. 2.
The manufacturer has also confirmed, that a new generation of Xeon processors require chipset C – they can not be installed on a standard series B, H, Q or Z (similar to the previous generation of Xeon E3-1200 v5).
Apparently boards with new chipsets are approaching all big steps. What is the situation with consumer models? Manufacturer's nothing officially confirmed, but according to the latest leaks, they must also appear on the market soon.
